Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: Who among you has attended a funeral today? Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I have. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who among you has visited a sick person today? Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I have. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who has given charity? Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I have. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who is fasting today? Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I am. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It has become due, it has become due.
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Salamah bin Wardan, and he is da'if (weak).
