وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ الصَّوْمَ فِي السَّفَرِ ، وَيَقُولُ : إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ رُخْصَةً .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that he considered fasting during travel recommended (mustahabb), and he would say: That was a concession.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Ahmad bin Abdullah bin al-Hasan al-Anbari; I have not found anyone who gave his biography.
