وَعَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ [ أَنَّهُ ] دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ فَقَالَ : " هَلُمَّ " . فَقَالَ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ . فَقَالَ : " هَلُمَّ أُحَدِّثُكَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصِّيَامَ وَشَطْرَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبَّادُ بْنُ [ ال] سَّرِيِّ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ .

Zurarah bin Awfa narrated about a man: That man came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was eating. He said: Come forward! The man said: I am fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Come forward! I will tell you: Allah Almighty has relieved the traveller of fasting and half of the prayer.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Abbad bin al-Sari; I have not found anyone who gave his biography.
