Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4763

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever leads a blind person for forty dhira' (cubits, that is, the length from the elbow to the fingertip) receives the reward of freeing a slave."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Atiyyah al-Saffar, and he is matruk (abandoned).
