بَابٌ فِيمَنْ غَرَسَ غَرْسًا أَوْ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا .

عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ بَنَى بُنْيَانًا مِنْ غَيْرِ ظُلْمٍ وَلَا اعْتِدَاءٍ ، أَوْ غَرْسَ غَرْسًا فِي غَيْرِ ظُلْمٍ وَلَا اعْتِدَاءٍ ، كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرٌ جَارٍ مَا انْتَفَعَ بِهِ مِنْ خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ زَبَّانُ وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever constructs a building without any wrongdoing or transgression, or plants a plant without any wrongdoing or transgression, receives a reward that continues for as long as the creation of the Most Merciful derives benefit from it."
Imam Ahmad recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Zabban, whom Abu Hatim declared "thiqah (trustworthy)", though he has been criticised.
