وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، اعْقِلْ مَا أَقُولُهُ لَكَ . لَعَنَاقٌ يَأْتِي رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا يَتْرُكُهُ وَرَاءَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ الْغِفَارِيُّ ضَعَّفَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ .

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): He said: O Abu Dharr! Keep in mind what I am about to tell you: a young goat that comes to a Muslim man is better for him than if Mount Uhud were turned into gold and given to him, and then he left it behind him.
Imam Ahmad recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu al-Aswad al-Ghifari, whom Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared "da'if (weak)".
