بَابٌ فِي نَفَقَةِ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَأَهْلِهِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " نَفَقَةُ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَبَقِيَّةُ أَحَادِيثِ النَّفَقَةِ فِي النِّكَاحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَبَقِيَّةُ أَحَادِيثِ النَّفَقَةِ فِي النِّكَاحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man's spending on his household is charity."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Kathir al-Kufi, who is da'if (weak). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The remaining hadith about spending (on dependants) will come later in the chapter on marriage.
