Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4660

Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever you feed yourself is charity for you; whatever you feed your children is charity for you; whatever you feed your wife is charity for you; and whatever you feed your servant is charity for you."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Other hadith of this kind, with various chains, will come later in the chapter on marriage, if Allah wills.
