Sayyiduna Amr bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged giving charity. Sayyiduna Ulbah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have nothing but this honour of mine. I make you my witness that I give my honour in charity to whoever wrongs me. Then he sat down. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Where is Ulbah bin Zayd? He asked this two or three times. Then Sayyiduna Ulbah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are the one who gave his honour in charity; Allah Almighty has accepted (it) from you.
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Kathir bin Abdullah, and he is da'if (weak).
