وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَلَهُ طَرِيقٌ رِجَالُهَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin your spending with those who are under your care."
