Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4538

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin your spending with those who are under your care."
Al-Bazzar recorded it from Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Tamimi, and he is da'if (weak).
