Ibn Abi Mulaykah narrates: Sometimes the halter would fall from the hand of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he would tap the foreleg of his she-camel to make her kneel, and then he would pick up the halter himself. People said to him: "You should have told us, and we would have handed it to you." He said: "My beloved (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me not to ask people for anything."
Ahmad recorded it; the narrator Ibn Abi Mulaykah did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and the narrator Abdullah bin al-Mu'ammal has been criticised and has also been declared trustworthy.
