Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4463

Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him to collect zakah, he said: "O Abu Mas'ud! Be careful that I should certainly not find you coming on the Day of Resurrection with a camel on your back that is making noise, being a camel of charity that you took by misappropriation." Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Then I will not do this work at all." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In that case, I will not compel you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
