وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ : " أَتُزَكِّيهِ ؟ " . فَقَالَ : وَمَا زَكَاتُهُ ؟ قَالَ : " جَمْرَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Imran al-Thaqafi, from his father, from his grandfather,
reports this narration: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a gold ring and asked: "Do you pay its zakah?" He said: "What would its zakah be?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A large live coal."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Dirar bin Surad, who is da'if (weak).
