وَلَفْظُهُ عِنْدَ الْبَزَّارِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَرَقَهُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ : " يَا أَبَا مُوَيْهِبَةَ ، انْطَلِقْ ، فَإِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْتَغْفِرَ لِأَهْلِ الْبَقِيعِ " . فَانْطَلَقْتُ ، فَلَمَّا أَتَى الْبَقِيعَ قَالَ : " السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَهْلَ الْمَقَابِرِ ، لِيَهْنِ لَكُمْ مَا أَصْبَحْتُمْ فِيهِ بِمَا أَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فِيهِ ، لَوْ تَدْرُونَ مَا نَجَّاكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ، أَقْبَلَتِ الْفِتَنُ " .
وَإِسْنَادُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَالْبَزَّارِ كِلَاهُمَا ضَعِيفٌ .
وَإِسْنَادُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَالْبَزَّارِ كِلَاهُمَا ضَعِيفٌ .
Al-Bazzar recorded this narration with these words: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him at night and said: "O Abu Muwayhibah, come along, for I have been commanded to seek forgiveness for the people of al-Baqi'." So I set out. When he arrived at al-Baqi', he made this supplication: "Peace be upon you, O people of the graves! Congratulations to you for the state you are in, compared to the state people are in. If only you knew what Allah Almighty has saved you from, for trials are approaching." The narrators of the chains of both Ahmad and al-Bazzar are da'if (weak).
