وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوَيْهِبَةَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : أُمِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَقِيعِ ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلًا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ مُطَوَّلًا ، وَيَأْتِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فِي الْوَفَاءِ فِي عَلَامَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Muwayhibah (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded to pray for mercy for the people of al-Baqi', so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for mercy for them three times at night.
