Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4290

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was travelling with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he was riding on his mount. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with your mount that it is restless?" He said: "It heard the voice of a man who is being punished in his grave, and that is why it became restless."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Jabir al-Ju'fi; much has been said against him, and he has also been declared trustworthy.
