Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 418

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the signs of a hypocrite is that when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when you entrust him with something, he betrays you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam, and he is da'if (weak); its remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
