Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4104

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man came to announce people's funerals, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! Pray to Allah Almighty concerning your deceased, and do not announce them to the people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Khirash, whom a group (of scholars) declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
