A man from the tribe of Qays reports from his father: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. We had a young she-camel that was difficult and which we could not control. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went near her and passed his hand over her udder, and it filled with milk, and he milked her. The narrator says: When my father died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came; I had bound him in his shroud, and I had taken a palm thorn (sulla'ah) and fastened the shroud with it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not torment your father with the thorn (sulla)!" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spat on his chest, until I saw the fine moisture (rudab) of his saliva on his chest.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
