وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ : كُفِّنَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِيضٍ وَإِزَارٍ وَلِفَافَةٍ ، وَكُفِّنَ عُمَرُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ نَاصِحٌ الْمُحَلِّمِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three white cloths; one was a waist-wrapper (izar) and one was a wrapping sheet. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was shrouded in two cloths.
