عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْكَفَنُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْفَرْوِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The shroud is to be provided from the whole of (the deceased's) wealth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Harun al-Farwi, and he is da'if (weak).
