وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَرَطٌ لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا تَصْرِيدًا " ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا لِكُلِّنَا فَرَطٌ ؟ قَالَ : " أَوَلَيْسَمِنْ فَرَطِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَفْقِدَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you has no child who has died will not enter Paradise, except by 'tasrid' (that is, scantily)." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Not every one of us will have had a child die." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is it not something one of you sends ahead, that he loses his Muslim brother?"
