وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لَهُ : حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ فِيهِ انْتِقَاصٌ وَلَا وَهْمٌ . قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَوْلَادٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَمَاتُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُمْ ، وَمَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ لِلْجَنَّةِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَبْوَابٍ يُدْخِلُهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَيِّ بَابٍ شَاءَ مِنْهَا الْجَنَّةَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ بِاخْتِصَارِ النَّفَقَةِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ هُوَ وَإِيَّاهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ " وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him): I said to him: "Narrate to us a hadith that you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in which there is no deficiency and no error." He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever has three children born to him in Islam (that is, while he is a Muslim), and they then die before reaching puberty, Allah Almighty will admit him into Paradise because of His mercy towards those children. And whoever spends a pair (of anything) in the path of Allah, Allah Almighty will admit him into Paradise through whichever of the eight gates of Paradise he wishes."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir in abridged form, leaving out the part about spending, and he recorded these words: "Allah Almighty will admit him and them into Paradise by His mercy." The chain of this report is hasan (good).
