Sayyiduna Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a servant dies, Allah Almighty has knowledge of hidden matters; if the people speak good of him, Allah Almighty says to His angels: 'Regarding My servant, I have accepted the testimony of My other servants, and I have forgiven him for what I knew about him.'"
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abdur-Rahman al-Qushayri, and he is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith).
