وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعٌ ، فَمَا أَنَا بِأَشَحَّ مِنِّي عَلَيْهِنَّ يَوْمَ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلَا ، لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ، وَلَا تَزْنُوا ، وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Salamah bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Perhaps the narrator states:) They are four things, and I hold to them as firmly today as on the day I heard about them from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "Beware! Do not associate anything as a partner with Allah; do not kill the soul which Allah Almighty has made sacred, except by right; do not commit fornication; and do not steal."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
