It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Allah Almighty says:) "Whoever I take away his sight, and he is patient and hopes for reward, I will not be pleased with any reward for him less than Paradise."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Maslamah bin al-Salt, and he is matruk (abandoned). Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and Ahmad bin Hanbal narrated from him.
