Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I went in with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to visit Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), who had pain in his eyes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Zayd, if your sight were to go, what would you do?" He said: "In that case, I would be patient and hope for reward." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If your sight goes, and you are patient and hope for reward, then when you appear before Allah Almighty, there will be no sin upon you."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) is mentioned in the Sahih, which is other than this one.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Ju'fi, about whom there is much criticism; al-Thawri and Shu'bah declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
