وَعَنْ فَاطِمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيَّةِ قَالَتْ : عَادَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهِيَ وَجِعَةٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا : " كَيْفَ تَجِدِينَكِ ؟ " قَالَتْ : بِخَيْرٍ إِلَّا أَنَّ أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ قَدْ بَرِحَتْ بِي [ يَعْنِي : الْحُمَّى ] ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اصْبِرِي فَإِنَّهَا تُذْهِبُ خَبَثَ ابْنِ آدَمَ كَمَا يُذْهِبُ الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ فِي الْحُمَّى فِي الطِّبِّ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ فِي الْحُمَّى فِي الطِّبِّ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
Sayyidah Fatimah al-Khuza'iyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit a woman from the Ansar who was ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her: "How do you find yourself?" She said: "I am well, except that I have been suffering a constant fever." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be patient! For it (that is, fever) removes the impurity of a human being just as the furnace removes the impurity (that is, the rust) of iron."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: More hadiths about fever will come later in the chapter on medicine, if Allah wills.
