Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3749

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْخَامَةِ مِنَ الزَّرْعِ يُضْعِفُهَا الْأَرْوَاحُ حَتَّى يَهُبَّ لَهَا رِيحٌ فَيَصْرَعُهَا " .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : " حَتَّى يَهُبَّ لَهَا رِيحٌ فَيَصْرَعُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The likeness of the believer is like a fresh ear of crops, which the winds keep turning over, until at times the wind even flattens it." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is reported in the Sahih, but these words are not in it: "until at times the wind even flattens it."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Ishaq, who is a mudallis (one who commits tadlis).
