Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Because of the pain of a vein in the side, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) could not go out to the people for a month. I used to see him in distress, until I would take hold of his hand, then recite the Qur'an and blow over it, and then pass his blessed hand over his face. Through this I sought the blessing of the Qur'an and the blessing of the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I would plead: "O Messenger of Allah! Your supplication is answered, so supplicate to Allah Almighty that Allah Almighty remove the condition you are suffering from." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aishah! I am the one who is put through the most severe trial."
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Ishaq, who is a mudallis (one who commits tadlis). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
