It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he recited Surah al-Najm before the people, he prostrated in it, and when he recited it in the prayer, he bowed (ruku') for it and (then) prostrated.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy); only the case of Muhammad bin Sirin is different: I do not think that he heard from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
