Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-Najm in Makkah, and he prostrated, and the people prostrated along with him, so much so that a man lifted something from the ground up to his forehead and prostrated upon it, and a man prostrated upon another man.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: There is a hadith from him in the Sahih, without this context.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Mus'ab bin Thabit, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ahmad and others declared him da'if (weak).
