بَابٌ فِيمَنِ ادَّعَى غَيْرَ نَسَبِهِ ، أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ .
One who claims a lineage other than his own or attaches himself to other than his patrons

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُفْرٌ تَبَرُّؤٌ مِنْ نَسَبٍ وَإِنْ دَقَّ ، وَادِّعَاءُ نَسَبٍ لَا يُعْرَفُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " كُفْرٌ بِامْرِئٍ " ، وَهُوَ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " كُفْرٌ بِامْرِئٍ " ، وَهُوَ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Disowning one's lineage is disbelief, however slight that lineage may be, and claiming a lineage that is not known (is also disbelief)."
Imam Ahmad and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it; however, he reported these words: "It is disbelief on a man's part."
This narration was reported by Amr bin Shu'ayb from his father, from his grandfather.
