Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid said: There is an hour in which, whenever I came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), I found him praying in that hour; he would keep praying between Maghrib and Isha. I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), saying: "There is an hour in which, whenever I have come to you, I have found you praying in it." He said: "It is an hour of heedlessness (so I keep praying during it)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Layth bin Abi Sulaym, about whom there is criticism.
