Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3313

Abu Ubaydah bin Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked speaking after Fajr; he would only engage in the remembrance of Allah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. The narrator Abu Ubaydah did not hear from his father, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy). In another narration the words are: "It displeased him to hear anyone speaking from the breaking of true dawn until he had prayed the morning prayer."
