بَابُ مَا جَاءَ أَنَّ الصِّدْقَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يَجْتَمِعُ الْكُفْرُ وَالْإِيمَانُ فِي قَلْبِ امْرِئٍ ، وَلَا يَجْتَمِعُ الصِّدْقُ وَالْكَذِبُ جَمِيعًا ، وَلَا تَجْتَمِعُ الْخِيَانَةُ وَالْأَمَانَةُ جَمِيعًا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Disbelief and faith cannot come together in the heart of one person, truth and lying cannot come together, and treachery and trustworthiness cannot both come together (in the heart of one person)."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and he is da'if (weak).
