Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When there was a night of strong wind, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to the mosque until the wind died down; and when something occurred in the sky, such as an eclipse of the sun or the moon, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray until it ended.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir as a narration of Ziyad bin Sakhr from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him); I have not found anyone who has given an account of him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
