وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُهْلِكَاتُ ثَلَاثٌ : إِعْجَابُ الْمَرْءِ بِنَفْسِهِ ، وَشُحٌّ مُطَاعٌ ، وَهَوًى مُتَّبَعٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The destructive things are three: a man's being self-admiring, avarice being obeyed, and desire being followed."
