Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 31

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two deeds are saving and decisive. As for the two saving deeds: whoever comes before Allah Almighty in a state in which he does not associate anyone with Him as a partner, Paradise becomes obligatory for him; and whoever comes before Allah Almighty in a state in which he associates someone with Him as a partner, Hell becomes obligatory for that person."
(Imam al-Haythami says:) I say: This complete narration will come later in the Book of Fasting.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; it contains a narrator, Yahya bin al-Mutawakkil, who is da'if (weak).
