Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 30

Sayyiduna Umarah bin Ruwaybah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
"Two things are decisive (for one's fate): (the first is: whoever dies in a state in which he does not associate anyone with Allah as a partner) will enter Paradise; and (the second is:) whoever dies in a state in which he associates someone with Allah as a partner, that person will enter Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; it contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Aban, who is da'if (weak).
