وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ : دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ أَبِي وَأَنَا أَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ : غُسْلُكَ هَذَا مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ أَوْ لِلْجُمُعَةِ ؟ قُلْتُ : مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ قَالَ : أَعِدْ غُسْلًا آخَرَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ كَانَ فِي طَهَارَةٍ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ هَارُونُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : فِيهِ لِينٌ وَوَثَّقَهُ الْحَاكِمُ وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ هَارُونُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : فِيهِ لِينٌ وَوَثَّقَهُ الْحَاكِمُ وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah said: My father came to me while I was taking a ritual bath on Friday. He asked: Is this bath for major ritual impurity (janabah), or is it the bath for Friday? I replied: It is the bath for janabah. He said: Take another bath, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever takes a ritual bath (ghusl) on Friday remains in a state of purity until the next Friday."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Harun bin Muslim. Abu Hatim said: There is some weakness in him. Imam al-Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and the rest of the narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
