بَابُ حُقُوقِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنَ الْغُسْلِ وَالطِّيبِ وَنَحْوِ ذَلِكَ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اغْتَسَلُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَلَهُ كَفَّارَةُ مَا بَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ وَزِيَادَةُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُمَا ، وَوَثَّقَهُ دُحَيْمٌ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُمَا ، وَوَثَّقَهُ دُحَيْمٌ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take a ritual bath (ghusl) on Friday, for whoever takes a ritual bath on Friday, it becomes an expiation for (the sins committed) between that Friday and the next Friday, and three more days."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Suwayd bin Abd al-Aziz, whom Imam Ahmad, Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared da'if (weak), while Duhaym and others declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
