وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ : أَنْ يَكُونَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا ، وَأَنْ يُحِبَّ الْعَبْدَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ، وَأَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْقَذَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ فَضَّالُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ لَا يَحِلُّ الِاحْتِجَاجُ بِهِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has three things in him will find the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than everything other than the two of them; that he loves a servant (of Allah) and loves him only for the sake of Allah Almighty; and that being thrown into the Fire is more preferable to him than returning to disbelief after Allah Almighty has saved him from disbelief."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Faddal bin Jubayr, whom it is not permissible to use as evidence.
