Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Maghrib and Isha prayers with a single iqamah, first three rak'ahs and then two.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and he said: Yahya bin Sa'id al-Ansari, Shu'bah, Zuhayr and other narrators reported this hadith from Adi bin Thabit, from Abdullah bin Yazid, from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah (may Allah be pleased with him), from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him). Ghaylan and Jabir al-Ju'fi differed from them, and both of them said that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him); however, what is correct is that it is the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him).
Al-Thawri reported it from Jabir, from Adi, from Abdullah bin Yazid, from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari.
