Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2873

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to give the salam in the prayer to his right and to his left, until we could see the whiteness of his cheeks.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism.
