Sayyiduna Khufaf bin Ima' bin Rahadah al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer. When he raised his head (from the bowing) of the last rak'ah, he made this supplication: "O Allah, curse the tribes of Lihyan, Ri'l, Dhakwan and Usayyah, who have disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. May Allah Almighty keep the tribe of Aslam safe, and may Allah Almighty forgive the tribe of Ghifar." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went into prostration. When he completed the prayer, he turned towards the people and said: "O people, I did not say this (of my own accord); rather, Allah Almighty said it." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the Sahih, but without this part: "When he completed the prayer"; the part from there to the end is not in it.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, who is thiqah (trustworthy), but he is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in the chain); the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
