Sayyiduna Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed, and when he bowed he said "Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him)" three times, then he raised his head.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Shahr bin Hawshab, about whom there is some criticism, though more than one scholar has declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
