وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ : صَلَّى ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ : ( فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ ) ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : بِسُورَةِ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
رَوَاهُمَا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُمَا مُوَثَّقُونَ .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : بِسُورَةِ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
رَوَاهُمَا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُمَا مُوَثَّقُونَ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), while performing the Isha prayer, began reciting Surah al-Anfal. When he reached the verse "So excellent is the Protector and excellent is the Helper," he went into ruku' (bowing). Then in the second rak'ah he recited two surahs from among the Mufassal surahs. In one narration the wording is: He recited one surah from among the Mufassal surahs. Imam al-Tabarani recorded both narrations in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and the narrators of both have been declared trustworthy.
