بَابُ أَفْضَلُ النَّاسِ : مُؤْمِنٌ بَيْنَ كَرِيمَيْنِ .

عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سُئِلَ : أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " مُؤْمِنٌ بَيْنَ كَرِيمَيْنِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، أَحَادِيثُهُ مَنَاكِيرُ .

Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Who is the best of people?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A believer who is between two noble ones."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Mu'awiyah bin Yahya, whose narrations are munkar (denounced).
